What is Watsu?

Massage therapy is the practice of manipulating soft tissue to restore health or alleviating pain. This type of treatment is also referred to as "Mesotherapy" and is founded on the same principles of chiropractic medicine. When a patient receives this type of treatment, the patient lies down on a table beneath the massage table and/or chair. The patient is not required to lie face down, but it has been discovered that a lot of patients prefer to be placed face down in order to have easier access to all parts of the body.

This type of therapy uses pressure to ease pain, relax the body, and/or encourage healing. Massage therapy can be broadly divided into two categories: massage chairs and full-body massage. Massage chairs simulate manual therapy. Full-body massage demands that the client lie on a table with their eyes shut and/or stay in a heated space. The massage motions in massage chairs are preprogrammed to produce a variety effects, such as the relief of sore muscles and full-body massage.

One of the most well-known benefits of massage therapy is the stimulation of tissue repair and the increase in muscle tension. A full-body massage involves the application of steady pressure to various areas of the body by a massage therapist. The massage therapist will usually begin with the feet and work upwards. Areas of the back will be massaged, as well as the major muscle groups , such as the shoulders, neck elbows, feet buttocks, and back. The massage therapist could also apply resistance movement or stretch certain muscles or parts of your body.

To aid the practitioner in providing effective and gentle stretching, it is important to understand what the practitioner is doing.  김해출장 If the therapist employs a thrusting motion when moving from toe up to the tip, the therapist must ensure that his/her hands remain firm and do not leave marks on the skin. The therapist can increase flexibility and decrease soreness by performing the proper stretching exercises on the body of the client.

In the traditional Japanese massage, the practitioner will also perform techniques that encourage circulation, for instance, placing the hand or forefinger in the palm of his/her hand for a half-minute. The practitioner will stimulate specific points in the palm to relax the finger by slow, slow breathing. This is known as Tsukubai. Practitioners can also do tapping or kokyu-nage which is designed to improve circulation and remove accumulated blood clots that have accumulated.

The purpose of this type of massage is to restore mobility to joints of the spine. It also helps to strengthen the soft tissues around the spine. As in traditional watsu, applying light pressure along the joint motion is necessary to reduce stiffness and facilitate healing. To maximize the effect, the massage therapist must not only apply pressure , but also stretch the muscles in order to influence cartilage changes and joints. This technique can be used to stretch the muscles, for example, the lordosis (lifting one leg up in the air) and Kegels (or pelvic tilts). The prevention of injuries is possible by properly stretching muscles and soft tissue.

This kind of massage is also known as "hot and cold" because it involves both types of stretching. One is usually performed with cold compression while the second is done using warm compresses. Hot compresses can be utilized for as long as two to five minutes if you have swelling or inflammation due to an injury. There are many types of warm and cool compresses. Numbness may indicate that the therapist has applied too excessive heat. You may also experience irritation or pain if the compressions are too hot.

Watsu massage improves flexibility, balance and strength. However, since the techniques employed were changed from traditional methods to a more scientific method many of these benefits have been lost. One benefit that's still obtainable is the reduction of tension in muscles. It can also be used to increase flexibility if you are feeling restricted. Some early 1980s practitioners believe that watsu wasn't as beneficial in the early days as it is now.
